Kelly
Darling
Science/Computer/Gym
My name is Kelly Darling and I have been an elementary educator
for 12 years. I am currently The Brighton School’s Science,
Gym, and Computer teacher. I received my Bachelor’s Degree
from The University of New Hampshire and proceeded to receive
my Teaching Certification from Framingham State College. I have
several years experience teaching science at a private school
specializing in gifted and talented education. My other teaching
experience includes teaching first grade, second grade, and reading.
In addition I have spent many hours volunteering at a strength
and conditioning fitness camp for students of various ages.
I
believe that children learn best in an environment that promotes
discovery and hands-on exploration. The classroom should provide
a sense of community and support for each student, allowing them
to bring their unique talents and personalities into the classroom.
I always strive to provide a classroom environment that is inclusive
and accepting of all learning styles and encourages students to
contribute, ask questions, and listen and learn from their peers
as well as their teachers. In this way, students are able to flourish,
to be proud of who they are as individuals, and to be successful
in and out of the classroom.
