Pre-Kindergarten
The Brighton
School offers both full and half day programs that take place
five days a week. In this class, students develop reading and
math readiness with an emphasis on socialization and exploratory
skills. The small class size provides a home-like setting that
nurtures the children’s developing senses, while striving
to meet their evolving abilities. The low student-teacher ratio
ensures an outstanding and productive learning environment. The
main goal of the teacher is to recognize each child’s developing
individuality. The school day is a balance of individual exploration
and group activities. The children are given the opportunity to
find their way into social interactions. Through this positive
social behavior is modeled. In addition to these classroom activities,
Pre-Kindergarten students participate in art, music, Spanish,
and physical education taught once a week by a specialist teacher.
Pre-Kindergarten is a magical place full of imaginative play,
singing, circle time, stories, games, painting, and much more.
All of the above experiences provide a strong foundation for future
academic success. After completing a successful Pre-Kindergarten
program, students are promoted to Kindergarten.
